Kids

[note] I offered this to you, dear reader, on 5 June 2004 after a trip back home...

Nothing in life seems to be as tiring as kids. This weekend I came to my home town to visit my best friend, his wife, and their three kids.

I am still recovering.

It's not as bad as it seems, however. They are three lovely kids. Hailey is a wonderful, lovely little gal, who doesn't listen at all... Natalie is a little ball of fire, who never seems to tire out, even when she is tired. Mason is the youngest of the three, and he is going to be one big ol' boy. Hell, he may even whoop my ass when he gets older, just because he will probably get tired of my BS. :)

Anyway, here I am leeching off my friends cable connection, getting ready for dinner. Just me, him, and the kids, since his wife is off at work this evening. Two guys and a handfull of youngins can be a dangerous combination.

I wouldnt trade this for the world. Now I just need to get some of my own.

Also, on a sad note, today President Ronald Reagan died. He was probably one of the greatest presidents of the 20th century. No matter what you may think, or what your political beliefs are, one thing is for sure. Reagan took a hurting America, just coming out of the economic crunch of the 70's and made the 80's into one of the most prosperous decades America has ever seen.

He was an actor, a politician, and a fearless leader, who helped this country out of a funk that it did not even know it was in.

Now if only George 43 could get his shit together long enough to do the same. He has the potential, but I think he just doesnt get it. But I hope he wins the next election. I shudder to think what it would be like with another liberal at the helm.
