Well it has been a long time... a long long time with nothing overly exciting to write about really. For the moment, life has settled into a nice dull routine. I go to work, work on the servers, and come home to read, or do other things...
But that is about to change.
I went back to school a while back. This past spring to be precise. And Now it is time for the fall semester to start all over again. SO, here I am. Getting ready to start on Monday, and I must be mad. I signed my sorry ass up for 18 credit hours, in addition to my full time work schedule as a sysadmin, AND trying to teach myself throug the FAA private pilot written exam, AND working on my Morese Code, AND working on my Exrta class Amateur exam, among other things... Sheesh, what am I? Stupid???
In other news... I am sure that by now you have all seen the ever growing list of candidates for Governor of California. Yes, fine people,. Only in California could a recall vote turn into a circus. Last I heard, there were over 250 people who had applied, and at least 135 that had been confirmed. CaliforniansI survived, and actually met a real hero. will be able to choose their next governor from an assorted list of people, from average politicians, to average people, to the Terminator, Gallagher the comedian, Gary Coleman (who still looks like hes 8 years old, even though hes older than I am), a porn star, Larry Flynt (who would have gotten my vote, except that I am not a CA resident, and because of my next candidate)and last, but certainly first in my heart, Georgy Russell.
Georgy would definitely get my vote if I were in CA!!! Shes smart, sexy, in my age group, knows Linux, has a blog, and is by far the coolest candidate for public office I have seen in a long time. While some of her platform issues sound like the traditional yackity yack of Berkely, the rest of it sounds fresh, and more importantly young and hip. Georgy claims to be able to turn CA government around. I hope she can. She represents something that we should all be. Involved.
Most people in my generation seem to be either extremist, or apathetic. Yet no one seems willing to do anything other than bitch and whine. Yet here is Georgy, going for it! I am glad to see her run, and I really do wish her the best, and hope she wins!
Georgy, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and stuff like that.
